URGENT CALL TO ACTION: JOIN MIKE EVANS IN DEMANDING INVESTIGATION OF ACORN
10/22/2009
Today, I wrote Democrat Attorney General Thurbert Baker and demanded he launch an investigation of ACORN's use of taxpayer funds in Georgia after Fox News reports of their offices in Washington, DC, Baltimore and New York City counseling supposed pimps and prostitutes on how to run illegal brothels in public housing.
Our AG needs to set aside his political ambitions to be Governor and do what is right for the taxpayers of Georgia. Join me in demanding a full investigation of ACORN's activities in Georgia.
Call Attorney General Baker at 404.656.3300 and tell him as a taxpayer you expect him to the do the right thing and investigate now.
Strangely, the Attorney General's Office does not list online any email address to contact his office. So, please email me your thoughts for Thurbert at Mike@mikeevans.org, and I will personally deliver them to the Attorney General's office.
Standing Strong for Freedom,
Mike
Mike Evans' Letter to Attorney General Baker
September 16, 2009
The Honorable Thurbert E. Baker
Office of the Attorney General
40 Capitol Square, SW
Atlanta, Georgia 30334
Dear Attorney General Baker,
Based on the news in recent days and weeks surrounding ACORN and their questionable practices there is certainly concern about their behavior in Georgia. An alarming culture of corruption appears to be emerging. I am asking your office to open and conduct a thorough and impartial investigation into their activities in Georgia.
Georgia's taxpayers deserve to know how their tax dollars are being used. If ACORN is doing in Georgia what they have been accused of doing in New York, Baltimore, and Washington, DC they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and tax dollars should be refunded. Given the current administration's severing of ties between ACORN and the US Census Bureau, as well as ACORN being cut off from House and Urban Development grants and other investigations, it seems prudent to see what has happened in Georgia.
Sincerely,
Mike Evans
